Four members of the Institute met with new CWPA leadership and members of the newly formed Outcomes task force. The conversation was very civil and pointed to possible future collaborations based upon The First Year Goals Statement designed by the previous task force AKA IRRL.

We'd like to congratulate Iris Ruiz for having received the 2021 WPA Outstanding Scholarship Award. The word is that many great pieces did not necessarily receive their usual "conference love" due to COVID, and other ideological battles, but this seems like a big step forward!

It has come to our attention that a very important union has some racists in its contract enforcement team. They have not acted sufficiently, and the consequences have been severe. Unions are not the place for racism. Actions will be shared but will be anonymous for now.
