On Saturday, Vietnam's National Assembly voted to increase taxes on alcohol and tobacco, and introduce a new tax on sugar-sweetened beverages. The tax rate on beer and strong liquor will rise to 70% by 2027, before reaching 90% in 2031. who.int/vietnam/news/d…
