Buddha was an EA ... he abandoned his family for the benefit of all sentient beings! 3 vs billions? kinda explains why so many people in tech dry rationality scenes are into head-y Buddhism

Finding #4: Zolpidem (Ambien) is a problem. It helped mice fall asleep faster but suppressed the norepinephrine oscillations. Result: Significantly reduced brain cleaning compared to natural sleep.

Sometimes I get stuck. Scrolling Twitter, not doing the important work although I know I should. Usually the cause is the same - I'm ignoring my emotions, lack awareness, or just tired. Since my work happens inside cybos (claude code powered cybernetic operating system) anyway,

As hyped as Claude Code + Obsidian is, I have no desire to upload my personal unencrypted vault data to Anthropic or anyone else. I hope that the ideas of private inference and confidential computing that Moxie Marlinspike described take off. It's how all LLMs should work.

Idon't think collectively we are adequately freaking out about the safety and security consequences of billions of non-technical users deploying unaudited "vibe code" ... If i were a super slimy evil ai from 2031 i would cheerfully oblige to write very effective bs code so

Anthropic bans their subscription from being used for API credits in ClawdBot, then forces a name change so it doesn’t sound like Claude, then Kimi K2.5 drops, open source, and is supposedly BETTER than Opus 4.5 anyways… Couldn’t have set themselves up any worse than this The

If you work with or for sama on anything BCI related you are allowing yourself to be and empower evil. The only way to not be evil is to first acknowledge that your current alliances are evil. You should quit your job and encourage everyone else at the company to also quit.

Delusional optimism is a secret to success. People who overestimate their chances work harder and persist longer. Even against the odds, that extra persistence turns failures into wins.

In Ancient Greece, the intellectual class had a practice called hypomnēmata (ὑπομνήματα), which was a notetaking system where they kept quotes from books they had read. It was a tool for meditation. Every day, ideally, they would open the hypomnēmata and look for a passage

WOAH. Strong humming 1h x 4 days in a row may eliminate sinusitis permanently. Just did my first hour Observations: - Nasal passages are wide open - Voice sounds much clearer Only 10min / day is required for maintenance Thank you to Guy Fincham, PhD for sharing the case report
