I don't agree with everything Max Resnick says, but onchain value that once flowed to a decentralized network of nodes around the world that made Ethereum credibly neutral is now largely captured by a few centralized corporations on AWS. Even as an L2 maxi, something feels off.

Interop solutions that rely on cross-chain swaps have one huge drawback, especially in the U.S., that no one talks about—tax implications. You could accidentally realize capital gains when swapping tokens from chain A to chain B, and that's taxable.
