"Now that's just mean..." He mutters to himself, lightly kicking the sand beneath his feet. "Don't underestimate the power of human ingenuity!"

He huffs, putting his hands in his pockets. "Yeah, well what about thise evil fairies in stories? There's always good and bad everywhere..."

"I thought you were surprised people didn't believe magic or mythical creatures exist? How are humans supposed to catch them if they don't believe them?"

"Oh yeah... That's how Aquaman was born..." He mutters to himself. "Alright, I get it. I believe magic could work in this world now... Uh... What was your name again?"

"Hiro." He gives a small smile, holding his hand out for a handshake. "And uh.. never mind that, it's just one of the comics I read..."

"Uh, it's like a book, with stories and pictures. Mostly drawn." He tilts his head. "They're way, way thinner than most books and they're usually about fictional characters like superheroes."

"You... You really are from the sea, huh? Guess books aren't exactly good underwater..." He thinks for a second, before reaching into his bag and pulling out a copy of 'Advanced Robotics, Third Edition'. "This is a book."

Christmas inventions? Tilts head.
