Between 2009 & 2015 Japanese Arata Izumi was a fan favourite at Pune FC, scoring 29 goals in 155 games. In 2012 he was granted Indian citizenship & took up an Indian name - Neelkanth Khambholja. He then represented national team in AFC Challenge Cup & SAFF Cup #IndianFootball
