Not every GP Pharmacist trying to get through Controlled Drug requests before the bank holiday weekend šŸ™‰We know Pharmoutcomes CPCS (pharmacy emergency supply service) isn’t gonna work for them if they run outšŸ˜ž #verybusy #gppharmacists

šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« - please don’t anyone say pharmacists simply put labels on boxes. #prescribingerror Great example of a near miss caught by the pharmacy team. Despite the huge pressure pharmacists are under with very low staffing levels. #clinicalpharmacists

Interesting insight at times working in urgent care. Prescriptions must be clear for someone with no clinical insight. Especially meds that are ā€˜PRN’ (when required). Caregivers for the vulnerable can easily misinterpret this resulting in incorrect administration. #nhs111

✨Best quote from an NHS 111 caller this weekend that understood why their symptoms were NOT appropriate for ED āŒā€˜A&E is not the best place for a holiday’. šŸ‘šŸ¾šŸ‘šŸ¾šŸ‘šŸ¾ #integratedurgentcare #clinicalassessmentteam

It is very difficult to know what stock is physically available when we have patients saying a medication is not in stock. Thank you to our community pharmacy teams that have told the patients what IS available āœ… #gppharmacists #stockissues

Had a great appointment with a PICS - Primary Integrated Community Services physiotherapist today in my GP practice. Receptionist picked up on the reason for the appt and booked me appropriately. This cut my patient journey drastically! Thank you #primarycarenetworks #physiotherapy

If a drug has been issued on the SCR but hasn’t arrived at the expected pharmacy. Using the EPS tracker may help. Was able to issue the barcode to a pt today and avoid a GP callback/111 referral. #iuc #nhs111

Having patients constantly coming back to the #GPsurgery because their steroid cream is unavailable. I wonder whether it would be appropriate for #CommunityPharmacist colleagues to suggest an alternative that is in stock using the steroid ladder? Not sure what others think though.

I wonder if National Pharmacy Association might review their advice regarding ā€˜blistering’ tablets in foil Pictured Epilim packed thus, despite Coroner post death recommendations & GPhC guidance & risks of serious harm pharmacyregulation.org/regulate/artic… judiciary.uk/wp-content/upl… communitypharmacycumbria.org/wp-content/upl…

I was today years old when I realised that some surgeries are refusing to go EPS. They still insist on printing Rxs for patients and pharmacies to collect. šŸ§šŸ‘€

Interesting call in relation to an accidental overdose of pain medication on the morning, due to excruciating pain at night. This was an opportunity to make recommendations to pt’s GP for a pain review and to perhaps consider sustained release meds. #nhs111 #iucpharmacists

šŸ’ŠI think pharmacist led medication reviews need to have a bit more insight than ā€˜patient knows what meds are for - good adherence’ when we are reauthorising medication…we need more than that IMO. #pharmacistprescribers

It’s really difficult sometimes to keep to appt times when patients haven’t been able to see a GP and then open the floodgates in an appt meant specifically for medication management only. šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø This is a symptom of a system that is broken 😭 ARRS roles cannot replace GPsā€¼ļø
