Miami is the closest thing Louisville has to a rival in football in the ACC. As the ACC moves to a 9th conference game, hopefully Louisville & Miami can be an annual game.

Jeff Brohm is a very good football coach. I won’t put him at elite yet. If he can coach the Cardinals to a ACC championship & CFP berth, then I’d put him in elite territory. His teams so far with Louisville have been prone to losing games to inferior teams.

Chris Bell made an excellent decision to decline the Texas offer to stay with Louisville. Miller Moss is a better passer of the football than Arch Manning. Bell is a first round NFL Draft pick. He’s having a great season so far.

The ACC is a very underrated conference. It can also end up being a one bid conference for the College Football Playoff.

I think most Louisville fans are taking it one game at a time. People remember losing to bad Stanford team last season. It’s not out of the question for this team to lay an egg vs Boston College next week. 11-1 is possible but not looking past anybody.

I watched Cal move to 5-2 on the season and 2-1 in the ACC. The Golden Bears are quietly in the mix to get to Charlotte. UNC is a crap team, and Cal took care of business. As long as Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele is quarterbacking, the Cal Bears have a chance to win any game.

A bowl game is a stretch for Stanford. Homecoming game vs Florida State will get a high energy bowl game type effort from the Cardinal. Florida State is winless in ACC play, lose to Stanford, Mike Norvell might get the tarmac treatment.

Great read. I can see why Cal fans speak highly of Coach Jeff Tedford. The tree sit protest over TWO YEARS in Berkeley & Cal football played at a high level in a good PAC-12 Conference. I’m surprised Cal never won the PAC-12 during Tedford’s time in Berkeley.

It took $62 mil in total investment to get the NWSL to take a chance on Louisville. To get the NHL to take a flyer on Louisville, it will take a total investment of $2.5-2.6 billion dollars. The cost of NHL expansion shows the class the city of Louisville is in as a major city.

Racing Louisville FC has got off to a turbulent start as a franchise. Turbulence builds character, character breeds triumph. In NYC/New Jersey tomorrow, Racing Louisville can secure it’s biggest triumph yet, a berth in the NWSL playoffs.

This is similar to Louisville in 2001-02 with building a stadium for a NBA team. The original Charlotte Hornets was seriously looking at Louisville in 2001. Louisville chose college basketball over the NBA. Mid size cities have to capitalize on opportunities to become big time.

SEC is the default for ABC and it works in ratings wins against the Big Ten. It’s not that the B1G doesn’t have compelling games on its networks. ABC is airing the best games in their portfolio each week which is anchored by the SEC.

MLB Playoffs is the only premium content FS1 has. MLB with the Big 10/12/East is what gives FS1 any traction with live sports coverage.

Karma is a mother. Florida State football has not been the same since the legal drama against the ACC. The attitude of thinking it’s better than the conference has turned the football program into the joke of the conference.

No Gulbranson, no Ford, backups everywhere. Stanford played with heart in their homecoming game. This is a culture win for the Cardinal. Coach Frank Reich, GM Andrew Luck is setting the standard for what Stanford football is & how it will be once ready to win again.

With James Franklin available and ready to get back coaching again, will Florida State fire Mike Norvell and make a monster offer to Franklin? The season has once again gone off the rails for the Seminoles. The fanbase is ready for a coaching change.

The new PAC-12 is in a great spot. It is hoping for the B1G to get the private investment deal done. It locks in members for 20 years. If ACC follows same example, PAC-12 could add Memphis, USF, Tulane UConn football & Wichita State. That would make new PAC a power 5 league.

Break up UCLA! 3 wins in a row. Who thought that UCLA at Indiana would be a top matchup in football. Hoosiers are on upset alert, Bruins are playing some great football with the interim coaching staff in place. If UCLA can get past Indiana, B1G championship dream gains momentum.

I thought Kentucky would beat Texas. Wildcats played hard. I wish Mark Stoops would’ve been more aggressive but he has a young QB in Cutter Boley. Basketball season kicks off next week, this game was the curtain call for most Kentucky fans until the Louisville game.

Notre Dame needed to beat USC to get in position for a College Football Playoff at large bid & got the win. USC isn’t out of it for a at large bid, but it has to win their remaining Big Ten games for a shot. Ohio State, Indiana & Oregon likely CFP bids from the Big Ten.
