Today I’m remembering visionary artist, Clementine Hunter. Like many black people born in the post-Emancipation South (my great-grandmother included), Hunter’s actual birthday was not recorded. She was either born December 1886 or January 1887.

Reminder for those in academe: make an effort to hire instructors who were suspended or fired for opposing Zionist genocide. Teach Palestine. Renounce apologists for "Israel." Invite scholars from Gaza to offer lectures and workshops. These too are forms of resistance.
