It's usually when we dont understand something we experience fear. So begin by bringing awareness and understanding to what you are fearing.

Your body is such a good biofeedback mechanism. It will tell you what's working and what's not. Become aware of what your body's telling u.

Anxiety and depression are very complicated mental health issues that can lead to physical health issues. It’s like a vicious circle that is sometimes hard to understand for those who don’t have anxiety or depression. Don’t stay silent. Share your feelings and your story. ❤️

I know this happens everyday but someone from my home town recently took their own life in a very public way because they thought they had no other option. There are always options, unfortunately sometimes there just hard to see. Speaking up is the first step. You're not alone.

It's great to come across someone like Emily who had the courage to make this video and talk about what she has and is going through. Let's keep the conversation going... #MentalHealthAwareness x.com/emdrakeley/sta…

The more we understand about what's happening the less fear we have. This knowledge gives us greater power and allows our panic attacks to become easier to control.

Something I learnt the hard way which caught me off guard and caused my first attack was called depersonalisation, which is the feeling of being detached from the body. Drugs and alcohol can cause this feeling/symptom quite easily. My bad.

Perfectionism can ba a common trait with anxiety disorders. Its important to not hold back and discuss issues we may feel ashamed or humiliated about. The last thing your doctor or therapist needs is a perfect patient. Be honest about what your going through, it will really help.

What is important is not so much how long you live as whether you live a meaningful life. This doesn’t mean accumulating money and fame, but being of service to your fellow human beings. It means helping others if you can, but even if you can’t do that, at least not harming them.
