Here's a big one! Typing indicators for group chats, finally. Apple is also bringing Apple Cash to group chats.

There's a new option for screening unknown senders. They appear in a dedicated area where you can decide what to do with it. Messages from unknown senders will be silenced, but you won't miss important things like your table being ready at a restaurant.

You can now use Genmoji to customize emoji with text descriptions. Two emoji can be combined, or combined with a description. Image Playground is getting ChatGPT styles for image creation. You can generate realistic images for the first time using ChatGPT.

Messages, FaceTime, and Phone are getting live translation features. Works entirely on-device. In Messages, it'll automatically translate texts for you. Translated as you type. In FaceTime, there are translated live captions. On the phone, words are translated as you talk.

Live Translation works even when someone doesn't have an iPhone. And there is an API for developers.

Apple Music is getting an update. There are new Lyrics Translation and Lyrics Pronunciation features, plus AutoMix for combining songs like a DJ. Faster and easier to get to your fav music with Music Pins.

Apple Maps will learn your preferred routes and offer them in Maps. Maps widget will show you your commute ahead of time, and if there are delays, it'll alert you with a new route. Maps also has a new "Visited Places" feature so you can keep track of where you've been.

This fall, the Wallet app is getting a feature for adding an ID based on your passport. It can be used at airports.

Apple Pay now supports payment installments in person and points tracking. Wallet can also summarize orders beyond Apple Pay orders, pulling in data from your emails.
