He thanked Uganda Law Society& Uganda Prisons Service for the great collaboration on the legal aid project that has contributed to reducing case backlog, promotion of human rights and improved access to justice for inmates in Karamoja.

This afternoon Ambassador of Ireland to Uganda met members of the Uganda-Ireland Fellowships Alumni who congratulated him upon a successful four year tour of duty! Members appreciated his stewardship, support &guidance that has kept the association vibrant, wishing him the best in the next posting.

In Moroto District, with funding from Ireland in Uganda, I joined Ambassador of Ireland to Uganda, local government leadership, & Ministry of Education and Sports - Uganda officials to launch classrooms and a sanitation facility at Kasimeri Primary School with UNICEF Uganda support. #InvestInUGchildren

On my return at Lokodiokodio Primary School in Napak District I saw renewed hope. Thanks to Embassy of Sweden in Kampala support, who enabled essential supplies like beds, storage cases, soap, & sanitary wear among others—children once living on Kampala’s streets now learn, play & thrive safely.

I was delighted to get the opportunity to pay a final courtesy call with his Excellency Yoweri K Museveni at the end of my posting, to talk about my 4 years in Uganda, the strong links between Ireland and Uganda and many areas of cooperation between the two countries.
