The three-day workshop, jointly organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)and the Rwanda Defence Force, concluded successfully today in Kigali. Participants engaged in constructive discussions focusing on international humanitarian law and new technologies.

Exciting and innovative initiative! As part of promoting IHL and Humanitarian values, a session of simulation exercises using 3D glasses has been organized by Rwanda Red Cross with the support of ICRC. This hands-on approach is key to fostering understanding and empathy.

Participants in #IHL & New Technologies Workshop including Senior Defense & Security Officers from Mali, Netherlands, Niger, Rwanda, Tanzania & Uganda visited ZiplineRwanda to learn from some best tech practices like using drones to deliver blood products across the country.

Today, 3 Law Students from University of Kigali School of Law in #Musanze conducted an academic field visit to ICRC_Rwanda aiming to enhance their practical skills through onsite learning. We briefed them on ICRC key activities in #Rwanda, #IHL & its applicability and current challenges.

Today, Red Cross National Societies and ICRC staff from ICRC Uganda, Uganda Red Cross Society, ICRC Burundi, Rwanda Red Cross & ICRC_Rwanda held a workshop on #RedSafe in Kampala. #RedSafe is a free ICRC app providing safe and secure services to people affected by humanitarian crises.
