Itโs always fascinating Bibbeyโs Wild Farms when the seasons turn Most of our wintering finch & bunting left last week. This morning there were 600+ birds, mainly passing migrants with an increasing element of returning local breeders Always nice to see Treecreeper & Grey Wagtail
I think this is a Dark-edged Bee fly in our garden today in Yardley B25, on this Lesser Celandine flower. Meanwhile at the other end of our garden we have a couple of clumps of frog spawn and 20-25 Common frogs.. #spawnwatch Birmingham & Black Country Wildlife Trust EcoRecord Naturally Birmingham Team4Nature
A few bird photographs from Lyndon Playing Fields in Solihull early this afternoon. A pair of Common Raven's were mobbing a Common Buzzard & there were a couple of singing Chiffchaffs, a Song Thrush amongst the regular species. No Blackcaps or Whitethroats yet. RSPB Solihull Group

Team4Nature I was watching at least 40 Redwings & about 5 Fieldfares on a berry bush in Yardley Cemetery, B'ham, yesterday morning & only realised there was a female Blackcap amongst them when I looked back at my photos. There were plenty of other birds around too.
