It was a very fun first day of the #CityNatureChallenge with lots of great recording happening across Birmingham and the Black Country! So far, we've made a very impressive 1,796 observations of 508 different species!

Male Orange Tip butterflies certainly live up to their name! The crowns of their wings are tipped with delightful splashes of orange. Whilst females replace orange with grey, both sexes share a marbled green underwing which acts as camouflage when closed. Have you spotted any?
