One more from yesterday at Lynford.

Brampton woods Monday 3rd June afternoon. Black hairstreaks between point 2 and the pond, quite a few about. Conditions not ideal but nice light. Didn't see anyone else looking for them. May go back when conditions are better. Great fun.

This year's crusade for Brown hairstreaks has sadly come to an end, with visits to Ruislip, Merry Hill & RSPB Otmoor. It's been slow but rewarding. All photos taken at Ruislip (Stafford Road Open Space).

Nice to see the obliging juvenile red-backed shrike at Houghton Regis yesterday.

Seemingly just one Hawfinch around the Bramfield churchyard yesterday. Hopefully more to join soon.

Yellow-browed warbler at Verulamium park Thurs 9th Jan. What a fast but obliging bird. My neck is still aching.

Plenty of brambling about at B658 to Broom junction area yesterday. Park at yellow dots favoured trees in red dots. Massive amounts of mixed birds to the west of the B658.

RSPB Ouse Fen Earith end on Monday this week. Must go again soon.

Lovely light at Bramfield churchyard yesterday. Keep an eye out for firecrest. A few people including myself had very quick views of one.

Bramfield churchyard on Fri 14th Feb. Hawfinches were quite elusive but occasionally obliging. Nice to bump into familiar faces braving the cold.
