Videos about #UX I watched in the beginning didn’t talk nearly enough about how important creating team alignment is as a skill imo.

I personally want to thank myself circa late-2020 who wrote a blog post every week. She's seriously helping me to craft a consumer behavior analysis.

Some of the best advice I got from a mentor when I first started my #InteractionDesign program was to do as much writing as possible.

When I was in undergrad, a professor of mine talked about the importance not just of good healthcare but accessible healthcare. Without accessibility it doesn't matter how good the healthcare is. Do all hospitals pay for staff to take language classes?? newyorker.com/science/medica…

“Medical supplies were scant, so they got creative, using an Apple Watch as a heart-rate monitor and shoelaces to cut through the umbilical cord. They also made a mini oxygen mask with first aid tape, and a baby-size beanie out of one passenger’s worn Reebok sock.”

Ooo! I learned from the UFYB podcast this great framing: “If you’re saying yes to something you’re implicitly saying no to something else.” Choosing what you’re willing to say yes and no ahead of time is super helpful. Also practicing no on low stakes stuff helped me.

Another reframe is that it may actually be helpful to others when you say no. If you say yes to everything you’re giving a tiny fraction of attn to someone and it may not be what they need. If it’s not a “hell yes” it’s probably a no!
