As promised... New trailer is out today! Ryan reached out last month to build his second course trailer in time for the Maven 🏛 promotion going on this week. This trailer is for his course: PM Masterclass for Designers. Just like last time this collaboration was amazing.

Music can make or break your trailer. Lack of music = lack of emotion It's important to use the right track to help you build up the emotion and excitement in the viewer.

To all my After Effects using friends: If you're using the most updated version of AE and you can't zoom like you used to, here's the fix. Preferences > Previews > Magnification, and toggle "Legacy" in the Type dropdown. I've been working for a few days on the most recent

I’ve tried using AI to augment what I do. I’ve had people suggest using AI to pull out insights from people’s content. It just doesn’t work. I go based on human gut and intuition. That requires me to fully understand the material. Sure, AI could comb through things

A great trailer, isn't something that is created and then forgotten like an IG reel or TikTok. It's a marketing tool that can last years. YEARS. If it clearly shows off the course and you, the teacher, you can post it and let it generate sales forever.

When you first launch, there will be a part of your audience that buys because it’s you. But after that the audience will need more trust before they buy

When someone lands on your website they want to know: - what’s the product? - will it help me achieve results? - who are you and why did you make it? - is it high quality? One of the best ways to answer these questions is: VIDEO

You can either shoot your shot or overthink and get passed by. When you shoot your shot you’ll often be surprised by the validation and excitement that can come from it. Even if they say no. This is something I’m realizing after VidCon this year. I introduced myself to

Online education seems to be heading toward community driven learning. Thinkific just refreshed their brand and product vision to focus on those same things. Community driven learning allows people to take a course and join others on the same journey as them. It helps

When a course or membership doesn't show off the inside of the product, people are less likely to buy. Especially if it's a high ticket product. It's like going to buy a house without ever stepping foot in the door or seeing a photo. Sure it happens, but very rarely. And

I think every high ticket service (>$1,500) or product (>$500) should have a video showing it off. The power of video to help you sell is still misunderstood

I just got off a sales call for an expensive, health related, program. I feel really bad for the sales person. They were doing their best to get me to buy, but I know every trick in the book. It was so hard to separate the buyer in me from the sales person in me. I couldn't
