PUEBLO WILDFIRE HOTSPOT PREVENTION: Through a grant from CO Dept of Natural Resources, Pueblo Fire Department will be able to use the Colorado DOC Wildland Inmate Fire Teams for 6 weeks for wildfire mitigation projects in the city, to prevent fires like the one in the video from happening in the future. The projects include clearing out non-native plants in the Arkansas River, Fountain Creek, and a stormwater drain on Eagleridge, which Pueblo Fire Department says would lessen the wildfire danger in these areas. PFD says it responds to at least 20 . KOAA News5

Your firefighters were busy last night with multiple fires, including this one on Hudson Ave. Day or night, warm or cold, our members are hard at work keeping the citizens of Pueblo SAFE.

Pueblo City Fire crews responded to an early morning, fully engulfed house fire on the 1600 block of Palmer Ave. Investigators are still on scene in order to determine the cause, which resulted in the death of one adult. Additional information will be released by Pueblo Police
