129 years ago, Henri Becquerel discovered radioactivity while experimenting with minerals & X-rays. He found that uranium crystals emitted rays without external energy! Becquerel, with Marie Skłodowska & Pierre Curie, studied this phenomenon, which we now know as radioactivity.
