A few things here, Petal. 1. The parade hasn’t been cancelled. It’s still scheduled for 9 August and very much going ahead. 2. The council doesn’t fund it. Never has. So the Reform councillor “refusing to pay” is about as meaningful as me refusing to buy your nan a Segway. 3.
