A burst water main flooded homes and streets in Detroit USA and then froze with temperatures down to -9c there today and likely to stay frozen for a number of days😬

Sadly flooding in parts of South again and a yellow warning for rain does not take into account the previous rainfall over last week or water levels. We badly need a flood warning system made public.

Wow Met Éireann have just confirmed that Johnstown Castle (Co. Wexford) had 298.8 hours of sunshine during May 2025. This makes it the highest monthly sun total in Ireland since June 1959 and a new national May record. The LOWEST monthly total was 267.2 hours. Phenomenal!
