#OTD in 1873, Frances Macdonald McNair was born. She produced some of the most powerful imagery of the #GlasgowStyle, often collaborating with her sister Margaret Macdonald. 'The Choice' is one of seven symbolist works by the artist produced between 1908 and her death in 1921.

Cathy Wilkes’ installations often suggest strangely altered domestic scenes, or moments of intense emotion. Sculpted and found objects are often dispersed against walls or on the floor. Her exhibition at the Hunterian Art Gallery combines sculpture, painting and domestic items.
