Happy Birthday, Kurt Russell Kurt's early work with John Carpenter, Escape From New York, The Thing and, of course, Big Troube in Little China, easily puts him in the legendary category. 'It's all in the reflexes.'

The Fugitive (1993) The St. Patrick's Day parade scene was unscripted. Director Andrew Davis gained permission from the mayor then, without rehearsal, sent Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones into the crowd. Ford said he lasted several minutes before people recognised him.

Jean-Paul Belmondo performed all the stunts on his own in 'Fear Over the City' (1975). They were very dangerous. The movie had a car chase, A helicopter scene, a Rooftop fight lasting several minutes & the most dangerous of them all, this incredible chase on a moving train.

"The secret of good directing is to remember that you are telling a story visually. Your medium is that of sound and sight. The screen should tell this story as much as possible, not the dialogue". Alfred Hitchcock.

Michael Caine Losing His Shit! — A Sting Original. Two towering showcases of his legendary blow-ups: A Shock to the System (1990) and The Swarm (1978). Absolutely glorious, and strangely cathartic. “EXCUSE ME!”😂🤣😂

It’s hard to believe Chinatown didn’t win the #Oscar for Best Picture but that’s sort of just what happens when you run into The Godfather: Part II. These masterpieces dropped about six months apart, with Coppola’s sequel winning the ultimate award. Two of my favorite movies ever

State of Grace deserves a mention on my timeline this week. Sean Penn has absolutely no business whatsoever being this good in this movie. He’s so god damn good here, it shouldn’t be allowed. Combine that with Ed Harris, Gary Oldman & my boy John Turturro- you get a massive hit.
