Doing my own throwing the other day.. was a little too focused on my mechanics, wasn’t executing pitches that well and was getting a little frustrated. To free myself up I just started throwing a bunch of different pitches from different arm slots. While doing this I realized I

One of the best career transitions in baseball history. Electric pitching prospect that dealt with the yips and transitioned into an everyday MLB outfielder with an absolute cannon. In Rick’s book detailing his journey through all of this, he talked about the confidence and

Just finished a 36 hour fast… never done that before. The mental clarity and energy I had at the end of it was nuts. Crazy that that kind of stimulus is free just by not eating.

Monday Shuffle Pulldowns… I’ve decided to just try and just max these out with my training right now. Here’s what my schedule looks like M/W/F: Long Toss/Shuffle Pulldowns T/Th/Sat: Mobility/Light throwing off mound tracking strike %/Lifting Goal is to get these up to

I’m very confident the ratios that would go into creating a FIP for the LMB would be quite different than MLB. Rock hard turf infields, high elevation, and significantly older defenders create drastically different conditions than seen in MLB.

Recovery Throwing Days are a hot topic in the baseball world right now. What should they look like and how much effort should really be put into it? Short answer (as for most things): it depends. What do I think it depends on? How dialed in you are with your mechanics and

Talked on the phone yesterday with one of our remote guys that’s pitching in a very competitive summer league right now. He’s been dealing with a little bit of a walk problem and it’s probably the biggest limiting factor from him being a legit starter. I asked him how much

I’m not sure if it’s possible to see any meaningful progress in anything unless you’re obsessed with the journey. Like so locked into the daily grind that you can’t see tomorrow. Life becomes so much more purposeful when you’re in this zone.

Struggling to feel the ground when you throw? Try throwing on concrete! Your back leg will stay taller and your front leg will brace better. This feeling of the ground being strong underneath you is the feeling we’re searching for off of the mound.

If you’re able to, find a farmers market and support local farms. More than likely will be better quality food than a typical grocery store. Yes it may be more expensive, but it’s an investment into your body.

“My kid doesn’t listen to me. Good luck” Of course they don’t. You tell them to work hard in the gym but haven’t picked up a weight in years. You tell them to work on their craft but only have hobbies of golfing and weekend beers in the hotel lobby at tournaments You tell

An emotional RFK Jr cites the culprits of the chronic disease epidemic as... - ultra processed food - seed oils - pesticides - food additives "We are mass poisoning all of our children."

Andrew Torba (@basedtorba) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Kennedy banning seed oils in American food with be the most consequential policy initiative of the last century. No longer will our people be sick and chronically ill. No longer will they be jacked up on a cocktail of Big Pharma drugs for these diseases. People will be healthy

I don’t think it’s hyperbolic to say a mainstream acknowledgement and rejection of seed oils and other ultra processed additives could cause a chain link reaction that would literally save the world.

Such a good post. It’s so weird how normalized this is in the travel ball world. You barely see guys in the MLB PLAYOFFS going 40 pitches and going back to back days. Why in the world should a 12 year old be doing it to win a USSSA tournament in November?
