Support local food. Decentralise away from supermarkets, mass production and know WHAT you are putting on your plate. 🥦🍓🍆 Eat seasonally. It only makes sense to work with nature.

Just popped in briefly to say if you want a good crop of beefsteak #tomatoes, sow them NOW! Whatever #summer we get - in my 40+ yrs experience, ripening depends more on plant maturity than loads of sunshine, although sun improves flavour!🌞Only sowing mine today as still unwell!

Inspiring visit to Maynooth Geography Festival of Food Sovereignty on Friday. The food system is broken, but there are green shoots and some great people working to rebuild it. Check out Community Roots Our Shared Plate Bohemian Climate Cooperative for a start.

Long weekends tend to result in extra #litter - particularly if the weather is nice. So thanks to our #volunteers who picked the #GreenFlag #LiffeyLinearPark earlier - happily just a bag & a half of litter found. We'll be back over the weekend to service the bins again.
