Happy to announce that I've defended my dissertation! I've loved my time with the Martell Group here at UW-Madison Chemistry and am looking forward to my next adventure as a postdoc in the The Soh Lab @ Stanford at Stanford University!

#TraineeSpotlight: Grace is an Electrical Eng PhD candidate. Her research focuses on tunable affinity reagents for applications in resettable sensors and dynamic range expansion. Outside lab, Grace M. Maddocks plays and watches soccer and travels. Here she is on a trip to Seattle!

#TraineeSpotlight: Zijian (ZJ) is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Radiology. He is developing a screening platform to discover biomolecular tools for multiple applications. Outside lab, Zijian Yang loves spending time with his newborn and his friends.

Excited to have a few members attending #ACSFall2024. Come check out Liwei Zheng's talk "Next-generation peptide sequencing via reverse translating peptide to DNA" during the Rising Stars Analytical Chemistry session tomorrow at 9:25am MDT in Bluebird Ballroom 2D.

Take a look at a cool new perspective looking at biosensors for #ParkinsonsDisease by Grace M. Maddocks

#TraineeSpotlight: Lexie is a Chemical Engineering PhD Candidate. Her research focuses on developing novel aptamers via modified SELEX schemes and characterizing them for biosensing applications. In her free time, Lexie Adams enjoys traveling, running, and wine tasting.

#TraineeSpotlight: Edward is a postdoc who researches natural/non-natural aptamers to target analytes that can't be targeted with conventional antibodies. Outside of lab, Edward Pimentel likes to read, bake, and spend time with his wife and two daughters (photo The Lawrence Hall of Science)

Congratulations to all the 2024 NeuroTech Trainees! We are excited to see what Caoimhe will accomplish as part of the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute and the Mind, Brain, Computation and Technology Program. Learn about all of this year's trainees here. neuroscience.stanford.edu/news/welcoming…

Today some of the lab is attending the Bay Area Chem Bio Symposium. We’re looking forward to learning about the best research in the area! Come check out Liwei Zheng ‘s poster if you’re here too.

#TraineeSpotlight: Haji is a Bioengineering PhD candidate. His research focuses on the screening and mechanistic investigation of small-molecule-binding aptamers. Outside the lab, Hajime Fujita (Haji) enjoys exploring new cultures. Here, he is punting along the River Cam in England.
