It's been 4 weeks since the CUPE 5047 strike began. At today's press conference, we heard from workers fighting for the respect they deserve and how hard the last four weeks away from the children and young people they support have been. It's time for a fair deal. #nspoli

There are thousands of students losing out on supports that are critical to their well-being and their academic success. Teachers are burning out without their @CUPE5047 family. These folks are worth a heck of a lot more than the poverty wages they are paid. Nova Scotia Gov.

Such an important issue! Without EPAs it's very possible that ratios of emergency-trained staff are below what's required across Halifax Regional Centre for Education. Check w/ your school! I did & the request was handed up the chain... still waiting. Kids w/ epilepsy, diabetes esp depend on this safety.

22 days, 110 hrs, 10% of the school year, and disabled kids in Halifax Regional Centre for Education are still barred from school. Not surprised that the Tim Houston govt doesn’t think that our kids are worth a greater investment (or that they are bargaining in public).

This is abhorrent speech from the Premier of NB. Our kids should be loved and supported to be who they are and not made to feel lesser than by their own Premier.
