It was a warm afternoon, but students enjoyed their private tour of the newly remodeled Richmond Raceway. The staff provide information on marketing, safety, communication, and the logistics necessary to host a race.

With everyone’s attention being focused on the current heat wave, today is a perfect day to visit 8News WRIC Richmond. Matt DiNardo guides the students through the studio to see how he builds a segment on the weather.

A night full of fun for students participants in the HRGS. First up...Jerrico..he was crowned the champion of Rock, Paper, Scissors!

Next up...a little live music in the lounge from Kira and Paige.

Finally Kira, Chelsea, Samantha, Cali and Chloe work to complete a teamwork/communication challenge. Can you help “Fred fit his life vest with just four paperclips?” Or can you complete a drawing using only the instructions provided by your partner? They did well!

Today’s CTE Roundtable allowed students to talk with local business professionals about how they got started and what keeps them motivated to continue working and growing their business.

It’s turning out to be a great evening for baseball. We started with a tour of the Richmond Flying Squirrels facility, had a nice pregame dinner and now it’s time to head in for the game!

Wrapping up mentor nights at Hanover Reg Gov. Sch! Good luck to my new friends on senior year, college admission and all the steps on their journey to an exciting career in finance! #InspireEmpowerLead

The students wrapped up their two week session spending the last night with their mentors. Cosmetologist Ms. Wilkerson and Nurse Practitioner Ms. Davis both commented on how smart and driven the students were.

It’s time for the final event!! Students are presenting their final ideas to the Shark Tank. First is SynthaLight.

Our next group is Kindr-Port. A transportation service for children.

Our third group of the morning is “Herban” a farm to table restaurant that brings the country to the city.

Last but not least the company “Girls Can Too” a program that encourages young girls and women to pursue jobs in male dominated trades such as HVAC, auto mechanics, and electricity.
