HPS kicked off their annual Relay For Life. We began the day with the "Survival Walk". It was emotional to watch our incredible students clap and cheer as our survivors walked the HPS walking path. #RelayForLife

Second grade students got to work on a STEM catapult activity with the principal this past Friday. The students learned about a catapult and had time to build their own. #copleypride

Herberich staff had a wonderful opportunity this morning as we received diversity training from Mrs. Denise Ward. Mrs. Ward opened up the school year speaking to the entire district at our opening meeting. We will continue to work with Mrs. Ward during the school year.

Dr. Roketenetz (Dr. Rocket) from The University of Akron provided a Biomimicry lesson to Herberichs' second grade students. Dr. Roketenetz also runs the field house at the Bath Nature Preserve where our students will complete their second lesson. She is an awesome resource.

UNITY DAY! Mrs. Bulgrin, Herberich's guidance counselor, worked with students during grade level meetings today on multiple activities. The focus was promoting kindness and preventing bullying. She loved seeing all the students wearing orange. #copleypride

Mr. Paolo DeMaria visits Herberich Primary School. Mr. DeMaria listened to Kdg. students share stories from their writing journals and read a book to first grade students. It was truly a special treat for all.
