Dear pain, I do not appreciate you waking me up in the middle of the night. Nor do I appreciate not being able to go back to sleep bc of you, totally not cool. I think you forgot I have one more work day today! #painpaingoaway

Dear daylight savings time! Let me give you a reason why you suck.... you make my pain worse somehow, and you are definitely screwing my sleep. Not happy

I’ve had so much pain/fullness in my pelvis lately, that I can’t eat even a full meal throughout the day. It’s like a bite here and a bite there. Not being able to eat ALL of my favorite foods sucks. However, my nausea allows me To want chips & keep eating them

Sadly, my chronic pelvic pain has been getting worse by the day. I’ve been able to push through work & I’m thankful most of my co-workers & all my managers, understand how debilitating the illness can be. However, I’ve fought the pain without calling in from it...

Even as the pain gets worse, I focus on going to work & being the best worker I can. Today was my day off & the pain decided to become to the edge of breaking down bc of it. I’ve cried multiple times today bc I can’t get it under control. Plus, I go to work supper early tomorrow

I’ve decided that even if the pain scale is something I deem over the number 10, I refuse to go to the hospital near me. The majority of ER doctors don’t treat it for what it is & the good drs try to break the pain & give you some relief until you go to the dr

This is a Public Service Announcement for Anyone in the Tuscaloosa/Birmingham area... Dr. Childs at OB-GYN South, P.C. isn’t just my doctor, but like family. If I called their on-call service right now, he would advise me on what to do medically & then pray with me! It’s amazing...

Continued PSA: so if you are near Baptist Health & have an emergency, I recommend going there. Dr. Childs of OB-GYN South, P.C. can read any report from their ER bc his medical practice is a part of their women’s medical center. There are multiple pluses of going to the ER there...

Lacy Duke (@howigrowalife) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Reason #1 to go to Baptist Health for me is my dr! Dr. Childs can’t access any of my medical records from an ER visit at the hospitals in Tuscaloosa. He would have to wait til I got out & signed the paper work to be sent to him. Going Brookwood allows him to read reports immediately

Lacy Duke (@howigrowalife) 's Twitter Profile Photo

#2 reason to go to Baptist Health ER, they have an app where you can check into the ER before you leave your home. I live a little over an hour from Brookwood, but if I check-in, I can get there in time for my check-in time from the app.....

Lacy Duke (@howigrowalife) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Another part of #2 is that Baptist Health checking in before you get to the ER, keeps your spot in line & you can there & usually go back to a room without waiting over 30 min is the lobby. This is god for chronic pain, bc I’m less likely to catch an illness the less I’m waiting...

Lacy Duke (@howigrowalife) 's Twitter Profile Photo

#3 to use Baptist Health as an ER is better for me bc they have staff knowledgeable on most areas. Even tough Dr. Childs isn’t in the ER, he trusts the drs to take care of me & give me relief & report all issues to him immediately if necessity. They have a great staff!

So I started working out yesterday. I just had an epiphany while I was at work. I went to a class called Quick Fit that only is 45 min long, but wow! What a workout out! I was sore before I even went to bed last night. #workingout #throughthepain #HIGAL #blogcomingsoon

So today was ab day, with chronic pelvic pain, I had to modify some of the exercises where I wouldn’t hurt or irritate my pain too bad. I don’t think I did anything stupid to make me hurt, but I ended up pushing myself a little too far::::

One of my blog posts is going to discuss workouts while dealing with chronic pain, infertility/fertility, and pregnancy workouts. I’ve never been pregnant, but I have two friends in my class that are doing it well!!#howigrowalife #HIGAL #blogcomingsoon

When you can’t sleep bc you’ve been playing on your watch, working on you planner and watching Game of Thrones then you start to clean in the middle of the night ugh

Woke up super hungry! Which is very unusual! Then I go to heat up my left over cheese fries, well apparently, I threw them away last night! I wasn’t paying attention! Now I’m not happy
