I was sceptical about the Yoko Ono show Tate Modern but I'm finding myself strangely captivated by its period vibe. There's (unintentional) humour all over the place but it's touching and thought-provoking. And ... my mum was friends with Cynthia Lennon when this was created

I love this story! But sometimes the result of the obsession would have been there without the obsession itself. The point above all is the craft of playing, the physical toil, the search for perfection.

So many happy memories of time over 35 years with Sir Andrew Davis. His laughter was infectious, his music making natural and inspiring, his commitment to new and British music unwavering. So many reasons to mourn his loss but celebrate the joy and privilege of having known him.

Oh I'm very sad to read this. He was a wonderful collaborator in concertos - the sharpest ear and clearest stick. RIP

The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen has 120 works by Paul Klee. This beauty I'd never seen before: Heroic Roses from 1938

A quick visit to the Kandinsky show Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen I really prefer the earlier works to the triangles and spheres and lines that are his USP. The saturated dazzling colours of this from 1909 are so wonderful
