Auditions for our next musical production of Mary Poppins are on Thursday 31st January at 3.30pm in the Horizon Theatre. Open to all Horizon students from years 7 to 10. If you haven’t yet picked up an information pack for further details, please pop up to the PA office for one.

This week would have been the final week of Drama lessons before the summer holidays. It’s not been the end to the year we would have liked, but 2020 still included some amazing highlights for Drama, including the Valentines production of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet ❤️

Closing up the Drama Studio for the holidays, I was sad to think I put this Romeo & Juliet display up, then literally a few weeks later we had to close school. It didn’t get the full viewing attention it deserved 😢 I’ll definitely be keeping it up as a happy memory next year 😊

Although we’re not allowed to do practical Drama in our studio in September, I’m still preparing for the happy day we can get back to normal. Loving how this giant signpost to imaginary places is taking shape 💖 I even snuck my own books on there 🙊 Do you know which one it is?

Finally, after having to wait a whole week more than other subjects for our 2020 Drama exam results, they are here! Congratulations to you all in such difficult circumstances. This year contained some of our most talented actors ever at HCC & I know you’ll go on to great things😊

I’ve loved meeting my brand new Year 7 form at school and doing “getting to know you” activities with them today. This one is filling a gingerbread person with all your favourite things. Creating these made us so happy to think about everything we love 🥰 #teachers #edutwitter
