What a week for DYW at Holy Rood! On Tuesday, we had Scottish Governments Fiscal Commission Economists in with Higher Maths talking about all things economics and helping the pupils understand complex theories through fun games. 1/2

Today we hosted our Modern Languages Speed Networking Breakfast with S4 pupils. This event aimed to highlight how knowing a second language can be helpful in life and in work. A huge thank you to S4 for being so engaged and to our employers for sharing their experiences! 2/2

Last week, we had the brilliant Saltire Patisserie join us in the Holy Rood FTT department for an amazing bakery & cake craft session. The kids got their sleeves rolled up to help make cupcakes and dark choc sultana scones with two of Saltires' renowned bakers!

On Friday morning, our Barista Skills pupils headed out for a tour and tasting at Santu Coffee. We learnt about the bean journey from farm to cup and tasted two varieties of coffee. Amazing experience for the pupils!

After our coffee tasting, we headed to our #HospitalityConnect partner hotel, Marriott Hotels Edinburgh Holy Rood, for a gorgeous brunch and tour of the hotel. This event truly captured the essence of hospitality and how careers in this sector can be wide ranging!
