If health authorities don’t think boosting with the same vaccines every 6 months is a good idea, then they should be working hard to make sure that updated boosters are available every 6 months, not closing up shop. We’re officially doing less for covid than the flu.

I'm not wading into #AmericanDirt discourse again, so all I'm gonna do is list books about Mexican people written by Mexican people. (Starting with mine obvi.) This Is Why They Hate Us by Aaron H. Aceves simonandschuster.com/books/This-Is-…

Tennessee parents with children in special education programs need to pay attention here. HB 127 puts your children at risk of physical and psychological harm.

Such a bad take. Criticizing a book (having an opinion) is not remotely like banning textbooks. Stephen King could literally write anything & it would get published. Yet he’s upset that he can’t appropriate marginalized people’s stories w/out potentially facing public criticism.

Prosecuting police will not end the violence. If we want to end this cycle of death & destruction, we need to defund & abolish police. Give that $$ back to the communities to fund things that actually create safety & stability

You don’t have to watch the video of #TyreNichols being beaten by police. You don’t have to subject yourself to that trauma. It should not require another video of a Black human being dehumanized for anyone to understand that police brutality is an urgent, devastating issue.

I remember the Rodney King assault. I remember how many of us thought the footage would change everything, Finally there was “proof”. Now there’s footage everyday of police brutalizing us. This footage is in HD & often comes from the police. Nothing changes. #TyreNichols

after reviewing the footage, i can tell you with a certainty that what happened in Memphis is NOT in any way shape or form unique. this is normal policing. its propaganda to state otherwise. they were talking abt beating a man to death in jovial terms BECAUSE they're used to it.

A supermarket in Illinois has to pay about $400,000 after they stole wages from 49 of their workers. Nobody will go to jail for this theft and nobody in the media gives a shit. This is the real crime wave in the US.

My elementary teacher tried to “correct” my pencil grip but it didn’t work. I didn’t know the different grips have a name! I’m a dynamic quadrupod. How about you?

Why aren’t more journalists connecting the train derailment with the train workers’ strike last fall—which was about train engineers being forced to work on such unrelenting schedules that they were exhausted—and more likely to have accidents like this horrific one in Ohio

Obviously the Army killing Pat Tillman and covering it up afterwards is the worst thing the U.S. military did to him, but the years they’ve spent rolling out his portrait backed by some inspirational music as a recruiting tool is a surprisingly close second

Parents have responsibilities because of the life they created. Children are a vulnerable group and are the ones who need their rights protected.
