Two of the hardest working, fiercest competitors i have ever been around

We ran our last 10y Flys in middle school PE this week. These times were ran in flats. It took 1.30 to make our Leaderboard first semester with a best time of 1.04. Now we have 40 students under 1.18 with a top time of 0.92!

When you play 7on7 all Summer, but have to defend this in the Fall 😭

New PR of 5.00m/16’4.75”!! Currently US #2 freshman and US #7 freshman all time!

Brandon’s hurdle time progression: Last year: 16.95 This year: 16.32 15.96 15.67 15.45 15.27 15.19 All as the shortest and youngest hurdler in every race he runs. He typically is either not in the fast heat or is stuck in lane 1 against the top 3 hurdlers in the state.

Great race. The quantity and quality of southern IL hurdlers is insane

Edwardsville finishes fifth at state track and field meet. Since 2014, the team has finished outside the top five twice.

Clayton finished his career with the most school records (4 outdoor varsity), and tied for the most state medals won (8+3 team) in school history. That is no easy feat with the track talent that has come through this program. Congrats on a great career Clayton!

Updated EHS 4x1 top 10. All 10 have come in the last 14 seasons. Those 14 seasons have an average best time of 41.96 and have won 9 state medals and 2 state championships. 3 of the top 4 have been in the last 3 years with Lakatos, Lane, and Wilson.

Congrats to my dad ⁦Tony Holler⁩ on a historic 44 year run and one of the most successful and influential careers a high school track coach could have. My biggest motivation for coaching track is to continue the tradition of how magical he made this sport seem. Love you dad

Shout out to our fearless leader coach Lakatos. Most people don’t know a fraction of the stress holding a track team together puts on a coach, much less when you are coaching your son through an injury that almost took his season away. Held it all together for a great finish!

A Tiger to watch. 3rd at state. Since ‘09 & start of 3 classes, no other frosh at the 3A level has competed on Sat at state. Only frosh Isaiah W (‘23) and Tyler C (‘17) placing first and frosh Charlie G (‘21) at 3rd tied/finished higher. He’s in good company.

Such a fun evening at last night’s Summer Track Meet for our young Tigers and their families! A night full of lasting memories for all!
