1/ Why I won't be staking ETH at launch, a thread... #Ethereum #eth2 Like many of you, I am excited for ETH2, the Beacon Chain, Phase 0, and everything that will come after. I have participated in Onyx, Witti, Altona, and Medalla test networks. I tried Prysm and Lighthouse.

If you ever want to calculate how much you've spent in total for fees portfolio, don't. Instead, use fees.wtf (proudly powered by CoinGecko API 😎) P.S. Don't publicly share a screenshot of how much you've spent in fees, it's not good for security!

New Post Peter Lynch had 300% turnover per year in the early years of the Magellan Fund. Greenblatt had similar turnover at Gotham. Even Warren Buffett’s public company portfolio ranged between 50-100% turnover per year during his first three decades. microcapclub.com/2020/10/portfo…

Michael Platt of Bluecrest made 50% in 2016, 54% in '17, 25% in '18 and 50% in '19. Rumored up big in 2020. Per Market Wizards 2012, he averaged 14% years with a 5% max drawdown. When a billionaire trader doubles his profitability, it merits study. A thread of "Plattitudes":

In investing, so many people seem to have “the solution” but they are incapable of profiting from it themselves so they convince you to pay them fees and carried interest to do it with your money. This is the principal/agent conflict with most funds.

I made something! A tool to calculate historic impermanent loss 🙃 Try it out 👉 permanentloss.app You can try for pools of more than 2 assets with uneven weights.

I'm not looking forward staking in Eth2 phase 0. Yes, some people will earn a staking yield, but that yield comes from diluting ETH holders with a secondary block reward. So total issuance is going up, and there's no knowing when it will go down again.

Recipe for rekt: 1. Miss out on a BTC pump 2. Buy altcoins because they're lagging 3. Rage when BTC pumps further but alts didnt move. 4. Buy more alts because they "bottomed" 5. BTC does a blow-off top and dumps 6. Altcoin dumps in BTC ratio and extra hard in USD 7. Homeless

Non-accredited investors should be rioting in the streets seeing YC turn $20k turn into $2,200,000,000. Allowed to buy lotto tickets, but can't invest in startups?! You've got to be kidding me.

What about the strategy where you put all your ETH into a Maker CDP, and use that loan to invest into DeFi blue chips? The CDP cost right now is 2.5%. DeFi blue chips may or may not outperform ETH, but I’m sure they will beat 2.5%.
