NYL decided to expand our bereavement leave policy 2 yrs ago allowing employees to define a loved one and use 6 mos to take leave. At our foundation, we have focused on this issue for 12 years; even as COVID subsides, the need to provide support for everyday grief will endure.

Today we launched the Children’s Collaborative Children's Collaborative for Healing and Support with Governor Cox of Utah and local partners. New York Life Foundation will be contributing $1 million to support efforts to identify bereaved youth and connect them with the resources they need and deserve.
