Every day is a training day. Ice and fog aren’t a great mix, but ice radar displays a high definition picture that allows us to spot the gaps to navigate through.

This Atlantic Yellow Nosed Albatross (we think!) is a long way from home - we are north of 60 degrees off the Hudson Strait! 🇨🇦 Any thoughts RNBWS ?

We are alongside Quai 21, Quebec City for Rendezvous Naval de Quebec. The ship will be open to visitors Friday 1300-1900, Saturday 1300-1700 and Sunday 1000-1600. We look forward to showing you the Royal Navy’s Ice Patrol Ship! 🇬🇧 🇨🇦

Heading south... After a northern mission to Hudson Bay during which she worked with the Canadian Coast Guard, the #RoyalNavy's ice breaker HMS Protector is heading south ahead of her next Antarctic deployment. 🔽
