The @HMCPSI follow-up report on Crown Prosecution Service handling of custody time limits is important. Good record-keeping means suspects are retained in custody appropriately, so both justice and the public are protected. I will be discussing HMCPSI’s recommendations with the DPP.

The Home Office has announced they are launching an independent review on fraud. Disclosure is going to make up the first part of the review and our Chief Inspector Andrew Cayely CMG KC has welcomed the review, offering our experience and expertise in this area.
