We have been warning about the seriousness of court delays since 2019. We welcome the government review into Crown Courts – radical action to clear the backlog is urgently needed.

Very pleased to see this. Anthony has always been a great ally in working to improve the justice system for victims of crime, and has led HMCPSI well this past year. He would be very deserving of the role, and hope he will be given the opportunity to continue his excellent work.
