It was a great pleasure for HE Philip Malone and DHC Ms Emma Macri to have attended the ICT Expo 2025 Opening Ceremony, last Friday. A brilliant event hosted by Tonga Women in ICT - TWICT, highlighting their theme for this year "Empowering a Resilient Digital Tonga".

Earlier this week, 🇬🇧 DHC joined 🇦🇺🇳🇿🇺🇸🇨🇳🇯🇵 dignitaries and women from across Tonga to launch the Langa Fakalakalaka 'a Fafine Tonga Programme. An occasion set to celebrate the empowerment of women, promotion of gender equality and the preservation of the 🇹🇴 Cultural Heritage.

Yesterday, we joined Tonga Red Cross to celebrate World Red Cross Day. Philip Malone commended their dedication and spoke on the importance of our global unity for humanity. In his words, "Together, we prove that humanity transcends politics and borders." #OnTheSideOfHumanity🇹🇴🇬🇧

Earlier this week, HE Philip Malone launched the first of 3 community nurseries under the Climate and WASH Resilience Community Project implemented by Live and Learn 🇹🇴 The project is co-funded by 🇬🇧 and 🇪🇺with the aim to promote the empowerment of women in the agriculture sector.
