Yes, Edmund Pettus was a Confederate Army and KKK leader. John Lewis was a soldier for freedom whose courage captured American attention at this bridge. Renaming the bridge is a great start, but the only way to truly honor John Lewis’s legacy is to pass a Voting Rights Act.

I was taught that Pluto is a planet. Just after I graduated high school, that was no longer true. Kids have no issues with how fast science changes. They have issues understanding why some adults refuse to listen to experts and act on clearly solvable problems.
