Well, Dr Kizza Blair , in fact i knew this already indeed. I've got "a bit" of history with this genus. I've got a question for YOU, dear Doctor, though: why do you illustrate your tweet with an image of Cupiennius chiapanensis? 😅 That species isn't even native to South-America.

I'm so fed up with ID'ing Phoneutria on iNaturalist I think it's futile to try to teach people how to recognize the individual species. Either people don't care at all or they just don't understand basic pattern and color combinations. I feel lonely, i want to talk to Rogerio
