Over 40% of all workers in KS manufacturing need more than high-school education. The computer product/electronics and transportation equipment manufacturing subindustries particularly have high demand for workers with bachelor’s degrees and higher.

On-the-job training (OTJ) in KS manufacturing is critical to worker proficiency, as 33% of all jobs in the industry require more than 6 months of OTJ. Thus, retention is extremely important to a productive workforce.
