We just had a brilliant engineering lesson Highfield Year 5 creating our own 3D tangrams! Sitting or standing it does not matter! We have problem-solved, cut and stuck precisely and worked collaboratively. We love engineering Highfield Prep @chatsworthschls #STEAM #maidenheadprep

We really enjoyed cooking and tasting our very own Mesolithic Stew today 🍴👨‍🍳 First we researched how and what prehistoric people hunted and gathered, then we tried combining our own ingredients to create something as close as possible to the original dish. #tastethehistory

Fantastic hockey played by our U11 IAPS hockey team on Friday. The girls got into the quarter finals of the plate and just missed out on the semi finals after extra time for gold goal, then penalty flicks (best out of 3) and next goal wins penalty flicks, a very close game. 🏑

Here Highfield Prep @chatsworthschls we believe looking after our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Taking part together in events such as Hello Yellow day shows our young people how they feel matters #WorldMentalHealthDay #HelloYellow YoungMinds

Today’s experiment is into friction - which surfaces will generate lots of friction and stop the car travelling far, which ones will generate little friction and allow the car to go a long way? Joanna Leach @chatsworthschls #GirlsinSTEAM

Pupils have been learning about the different forms and structure as well as listening and analysing all things poetry during this half term. Their recent challenge was to learn as much of the poem, Tomcat and perform it in class. We think they did pretty well!! 👏🏻 #poetry

Reception really enjoyed learning about the story of Rama and Sita today. They then became mini teachers and used their acting skills to share the story with Highfield Preschool. Reception loved the responsibility of helping their peers to learn. Joanna Leach Early Years at Chatsworth Schools
