We are always happy when retired educators come back to the classroom to read to the kids during #NevadaReadingWeek. Thank you EMW & Felicia Gonzales for once again returning to read to the kids at Hickey Elementary.

We were glad to have representatives from our local universities with Nevada State University ‘s Dr. Amber Lopez Lasater & CBER @ UNLV’s @woodsgoods stopping by Hickey ES for #NevadaReadingWeek. They talked about the importance of higher education and how it helps people become successful.

Everyone had fun when Abraham Camejo and Stephen Stephen Silberkraus visited Hickey Elementary for #NevadaReadingWeek. Abraham brought his daughter who loved Hickey and Stephen brought some cool items that had been in space for the kids to see.

We had two recently retired Eastside principals AJ Adams & Margarita Gamboa Harris return to the classroom for a day to read to the students at Hickey Elementary. The kids enjoyed it a lot and thank you for being apart of #NevadaReadingWeek

Here comes the judges - Part 3. Judge Jessica Goodey (Jessica Goodey) and Judge Jessica Peterson stop by Hickey ES for #NevadaReadingWeek. They discussed how important reading is to be a judge and even had the kids gavel in their class.
