We've spent a lot of time the past two weeks learning U.S. Traditional Multiplication. My job was to expose the students to a new way to multiply. Now, it's their job to decide what method of multiplication is best for them!

When students take the initiative to help each other...you’ve got something special going on in the classroom. Love seeing this!

***ASSESSMENT ALERT*** We will have our Unit 2 Assessments on Monday and Wednesday of next week. We're not assessing on Tuesday because of American Education visits.

Today in Math we reviewed for our Unit 2 assessment using the Red, Yellow, & Green strategy that @kvmathteach shared with us yesterday. Students labeled the questions Red, Yellow, & Green. They did the Red questions first with support.

Today we worked on our defined stem project, "It's My Party." Students are planning all aspects of a sleepover, including finding the area of a living room and the furniture and sleeping bags that they'd have in the room to see how many friends they could fit.
