Lit reviews aren't about you: how much you've read, how harshly you can critique. They're about your reader: what does s/he need to know to position your research question and proposed answer in the field?

We have two open-rank faculty positions at Columbia IEOR. If you use math/analytics (broadly defined) to provide solutions or insight into real-world problems, you should apply. PhDs in finance, stats, applied math, OR, business, CS, etc. all encouraged. apply.interfolio.com/94663

Ask your advisor if they have funds for equipment purchase before buying your own computer/laptop/monitor etc. Don't be shy! They may say no, but you don't want to miss out if they say yes.
