Take a minute to pray for Houston Fire Captain Tommy Searcy. He is on a ventilator, fighting for his life and his doctors are trying to get him on a experimental trial drug...

The City of Houston illegally implemented a sick leave policy against firefighters, according to arbitrators in four separate cases the HPFFA has won recently. City was repeatedly warned that the practice is illegal. Thanks to HPFFA Grievance Committee and our GC Rick Mumey.

Biden’s assertion that Republican Congress stood in the way of criminal justice reform is 100% wrong. I was the lead sponsor of the bill and was pleading with Democrats to join us. Dems did not want Republicans to succeed with this bill. #BidenDidNothing

Watch as the Texas House handed Mayor Turner a huge loss when it voted unanimously to approve John Whitmire's bill to require binding arbitration when collective bargaining reaches an impasse. One more vote to go in the house tomorrow. Thank you to house sponsor Mary Ann Perez.

Have you seen this week's city council agenda? There's a request for more $$$s to continue fighting Houston firefighters in the courts. Enough is enough. City Council needs to say no!
